1974-1976. Linen, embroidery, appliqué. 200×180 cm
Petronele Gerlikiene said: “The National Song and Dance festival in Vilnius in 1976. And the bunch of people from all over! You can’t put them all in one tapestry. The singers and dancers are the most important. They dance, so ardently their legs twisted like pretzels. And that gray-haired woman over there with red cheeks, she has birds on her feet, and is wearing a patterned dress. And the elderly man who’s giving her flowers. The musicians of the village orchestra played till they dropped. The conductor is conducting and the announcer is wearing trousers. She keeps looking in her mirror.”
